Tips for More Secure Passwords

Generally, people are well aware of the value of passwords. While some still think of it as a child’s game. Even if you are uninterested in technology, you must be interested in posting your pictures and events on social networking sites. Setting unique passwords may be a challenging task, but it is quite inevitable. Hackers keep piling on the new ways to hack. These few tips can help us maintain our privacy and peace of mind as well:

1- Use your most complex mind
Put all the complexities of your brain in setting up the password. We are trained to keep our thinking process simple, but here complexity works well. Set a complex password, set it with some unexpected words like LUTHER29@ MARTIN68.
2- Don’t forget to add number and symbols
Setting up a simple password like 12345 or abcde is not a good idea. These are the most simple passwords and can be traced easily. Instead, go for combinations such as a@1b#2z*26, Such combinations are difficult to catch, and the hacker will be disappointed each time he tries to disturb you.  Apple passwords are good examples; each password requires one number and one capital letter.
3- Longer passwords give better security
Short passwords are easily accessible. Creating long passwords will prevent the hackers from hacking your account. Pick up any phrase and try writing it with numbers and symbols in between.
4- Pin codes are perfect combinations
We all know about combinations and permutations; there is the uncountable probability of combination with the 0-9 digits. For IOS, you can change the password from simple to complex, use a fingerprint. Android users have better options; they can set a 9 point to unlock system, face lock, and numerical password.
5- Check the security of the password
After setting up a new password, check the strength of your password through some applications available online, just type, how safe my password is? It will let you know, how long one will take to crack your password. If doubtful, set it again, until you are fully satisfied.
6- There is no harm in logging out
It’s better to log out of all the accounts if not in use.  It barely takes 5-6 seconds to do so, leaving the account logged in is going to cause trouble for future. Keeping the sites logged in will allow the hackers to access it quickly. The imminent harm is immeasurable.
7- Social Networking sites
If one day you find that your Facebook account has been hacked, go to FB hacked section, If you are signed in, follow the instructions to secure my account, otherwise, send a report considering my FB account has been hacked. Twitter and LinkedIn, Unlike Facebook, the only thing you can do here is to change your password following two ways: If you can log in, then go to the account section and access the “passwords” tab to turn it. If unable to locate the account, request them to change it through the home page. If the password is regenerated, try to remove all the suspicious apps. Delete all the spams and DMs
Google-  If Google is creating trouble then its wise to accept that all the accounts are in trouble. Begin by clicking on “Can’t access your account”? Don’t forget to use google  Two-step verification process.
You can keep your iOS, Android, tablets, and PC safe and secure with the use of these simple steps. You can always opt for a password manager like the Last  Pass, Kee Pass, and 1Password.
